NFT Art - Unattainable Landscapes
Because of the confinement I've experience due to COVID, I have started creating landscapes I could not see while staying at home. Dreamscapes or unattainable landscapes that combine photos of far off places and layered with impossible weather patterns, waving rainbows, and even shimmering hair.
You can collect the Unattainable Landscapes series as NFTs on Objkt.com.
Process
The process was born out of missing the opportunity to travel, and I found myself scrolling through old travel photos online. Realizing that many of them were within the public domain, I started manipulating the images using image and video editing software and code. Promising myself, that most nights I had time before bed with an iPad Pro and Apple Pencil I received for teaching a soft circuits workshop and curating a talk at the apple store, I started to experiment.
My early experiments were using vintage photos, primarily from the Library of Congress free to use and reuse image collections. From there I asked friends and family for landscapes they missed that I could make magical.
